Lines
One more for today. Revealing preferences and value of time spent waiting in line. Freakonomics discusses this.
My drive to school
I have a 23 minute drive to school every day. Listening to radio (and hoping for some outrageous news story to discuss in class) improves the drive, even though I'm happy just enjoying the view. The problem I've recently discovered is that radio commercial breaks take up most of my drive. And switching radio stations doesn't seem to solve this issue, as they seem to take the same commercial breaks! What are the economics of this? Cheap talk gives us some ideas. (And yes, jumping ahead to equilibrium analysis...we'll get there in a few weeks!)
